Recognizing the need for developing future community leaders, Cushing Chamber of Commerce and Cushing High School have established a youth leadership program. The Tomorrow’s Leaders program creates an opportunity for High School Juniors to connect with their community and community leaders.

Dr. Lee Tyner, assistant professor in the department of management at the University of Central Oklahoma spoke to a group of 70 on Thursday at Central Rural Electric Cooperative’s Training Center in Stillwater. The seminar titled “Defining Today’s Leader,” is the second seminar in a series of eight hosted by CREC and UCO.

Accountability could be defined as a person who does the difficult things even when he or she does not feel like doing them. In other words accountability is when leaders are not blown by the storms of the moment.

Twenty six individuals representing diverse backgrounds have been selected to participate in Class XIX of the upcoming Leadership Stillwater program.
